Add RSS Cloud Element is a plugin for WordPress that allows you to add the cloud element from the RSS 2.0 specification to your feed.
You can specify the domain, port, path, procedure, and protocol of the cloud server you would like to include in your RSS feed. Clients or aggregators that process your feed will then know which cloud server they can access to subscribe to notifications whenever your feed is updated
If you want more information on the RSS Cloud concept before trying this out, make sure that you read Dave Winer’s rsscloud.org site first. Once you have done that, there is much more available elsewhere on the web if you’re looking for it.
The next version of this plugin will ensure that the correct cloud server parameters are used to notify when updated as well. It should be noted that the first version of this plugin (0.2) was very heavily influenced by the Feed Image plugin, which is responsible for adding an image element to your feed.

UPDATE 2009-09-05:
Version 0.3 is now published. The second half has now been added, the ability to notify your cloud server that the feed has updated. Note that this uses CURL to make the POST notification and does not plan on server time-outs. Dirty, but it works. If you’d like a cloud enabled feed, but don’t want to notify the cloud for the time being, you can use version 0.2 above.
Next will come – error checking, timeout handling, xml-rpc handling (currently POST only).
